· Temperature Measurement using Thermistors |
U inputs are intended for use with Thermistor temperature
sensors.
- Thermistors (2 KOhm at 25ºC) provide a large exponential value
change of resistance with change of temperature, offering high sensitivity but
over a limited temperature range.
- Unlike some other temperature sensor types, the cable resistance does
not significantly affect accuracy of measurement.
- Note that Squirrel U inputs are also completely compatible with type
UU sensors. Type UU sensors offer greater accuracy than type U sensors.
