Sensor Power

In the case of Voltage/Current inputs, the input sensor or transducer may require a power supply. The sensor supply output from the Squirrel can be used to do just this. Either 5v (+/-0.1%) or the ¹Squirrel supply is available, and the choice is made by hardware jumpers on the module. The total current drawn by all sensor supply outputs must not exceed 100mA. Using the Squirrel, you can set how long you would like the Sensor Power to be applied before each reading is taken.

¹The default setting is the Squirrel supply. Using the internal battery supply it is typically 9V, if the external AC adaptor MP12/B or MP12/D is used then the Squirrel supply will be approximately 12v DC.
