  • No SMS message is sent if no channel is in Alarm
  • An SMS message is sent immediately a channel goes into Alarm
  • An SMS summarising all Channels in alarm is sent at every Alarm Period.

How is the 'Next Alarm Time' updated?

The 'Next Alarm Time' is initially set by the user. It is a time of day and is expressed using the 24 hour clock. Once this time is reached, the Squirrel updates it by adding the Alarm Period to it.

  • The process happens regardless of whether any channels are in alarm.
  • The process only happens when the Squirrel is logging.
  • The Alarm Period is programmable. The value is set as hh:mm (24:00 maximum). One Alarm Period value only is permitted. An equal number of Periods should fit within each 24 hours
