Industrial Solution story

Hybrid industrial monitoring: wireless GENII + Squirrel DAQ

Industrial environments are rarely uniform: legacy equipment, fixed infrastructure and dynamic processes sit side by side. Forcing them all onto one monitoring technology leads to compromise. Eltek treats wired and wireless as complementary layers, not rivals.

An industrial plant floor combining wired Squirrel DAQ on fixed assets with battery-powered wireless GENII sensors on distributed equipment, illustrated as one Eltek architecture

Strengths, not rivals

Wireless GENII excels where flexibility, speed of deployment and remote access matter, with rapid install with no signal cabling, long-range low-power transmission, battery-powered sensors and 4G/LTE connectivity for remote or unmanned sites. Grant Squirrel DAQ is built for high-precision, high-density wired acquisition, with multi-channel, high-accuracy, deterministic logging of thermocouples, PT100, strain, voltage and current. Most sites need both.

One architecture, one partner

By combining the two under a single Eltek-led strategy, with Squirrel DAQ on fixed, high-value assets, wireless GENII on mobile, distributed or hard-to-reach points, and data aggregated through Eltek software, organisations get systems that are fit-for-purpose, scalable and future-proofed for Industry 4.0. Time-synchronised logging, secure storage and full audit trails keep the data trustworthy across both sensor types. With Squirrel DAQ now part of the Grant Instruments group, Eltek delivers one supplier, one engineering partner and one roadmap.
