GD44: Voltage and current-loop transmitter

The GD44 is a wireless GenII transmitter from Eltek for monitoring voltage and current-loop devices. It measures 0 to 100mV, 0 to 1V and 0 to 10V DC, plus 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA DC current loops, includes a fitted display, and transmits readings wirelessly into the Darca Solutions Suite. It is the recommended successor to the GS44.

How it works

Analogue signal inputs. Wireless data link.

The GD44 brings voltage and current-loop devices into a wireless monitoring network. It reads standard analogue signals across five ranges: voltage at 0 to 100mV, 0 to 1V and 0 to 10V DC, and current loops at 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA DC. Between them these cover the outputs of most process instruments, transducers and analogue sensors already on site.

A fitted display shows the current reading at the unit, so staff can check a signal locally without opening Darca Command. The transmitter runs on six AA batteries and is rated IP41 for indoor installation.

As a GenII transmitter, the GD44 works within the full Darca Solutions Suite: readings flow through your site's SRV450 hub to Darca Command, where they appear alongside temperature, humidity and all other monitored parameters in one live dashboard.

The GD44 is the named successor to the GS44 and is now the lead model for voltage and current-loop monitoring. The GS44 remains live and fully supported, so existing installations do not need to change.

Applications

Where the GD44 is used

Wherever a site already has instruments producing voltage or current-loop outputs, the GD44 brings those readings into a wireless monitoring network without rewiring.

Process signal monitoring

Connect differential pressure transducers, flow meters and other voltage or current-loop process instruments into your monitoring system wirelessly.

Laboratory and industrial sensing

Monitor precise analogue signals from specialised instrumentation alongside temperature and humidity in one connected Darca Command view.

Upgrading from the GS44

The recommended model for new voltage and current-loop installations, with the GS44 remaining fully supported for equipment already in the field.

Questions about the GD44

Frequently asked questions

What is the GD44?

The GD44 is a wireless GenII transmitter from Eltek for monitoring voltage and current-loop devices. It measures voltage ranges of 0 to 100mV, 0 to 1V and 0 to 10V DC, and current-loop ranges of 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA DC, includes a fitted display, and transmits readings wirelessly into the Darca Solutions Suite.

What can the GD44 measure?

The GD44 monitors voltage and current-loop devices across five ranges: 0 to 100mV, 0 to 1V and 0 to 10V DC for voltage, and 0 to 20mA and 4 to 20mA DC for current loops. This covers the analogue outputs of most process instruments and transducers.

How does the GD44 relate to the GS44?

The GD44 is the named successor to the GS44 and is now the lead, recommended model for voltage and current-loop monitoring. The GS44 remains live and fully supported for existing installations, so there is no need to replace working equipment.

What are the GD44 physical and environmental specifications?

The GD44 measures 139 x 80 x 42 mm excluding its 128 mm antenna and weighs 0.37 kg. It runs on six AA batteries, carries a fitted display, operates from -10°C to +55°C in humidity up to 95% non-condensing, and is rated IP41. It is designed to comply with EU safety and radio standards.

Part of the Darca Solutions Suite

The GD44 is a GenII wireless transmitter in the Darca Collect layer. Readings flow through your site's connectivity hardware to Darca Command, the same cloud platform that manages all your other Eltek sensors, alarms, and compliance records.

Eltek has deployed more than 40,000 GenII wireless transmitters in field worldwide. Four decades of UK engineering. Since 1985.
